Jennifer Muro is a Peabody Award–winning writer and producer whose career spans two decades of building worlds across some of the most iconic franchises in television, comics, and streaming. A storyteller at heart, she has carved out a unique place in genre entertainment—bringing emotional depth, cinematic scope, and inclusive perspectives to animation, live action, and graphic novels alike.

Jennifer’s work includes co-producing Paramount+’s Star Trek: Prodigy (winner of the 2023 Peabody Award), developing and head writing Netflix’s upcoming Stranger Things: Tales from ’85, staffing on Marvel’s Secret Invasion, and writing Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: Forces of Destiny. She also co-produced Amazon Prime’s The Legend of Vox Machina, the record-breaking, Kickstarter-funded series that secured a four-season order on Amazon and cemented itself as a fan-driven hit.

In comics, Jennifer co-created Primer for DC Comics, introducing a brand-new heroine to the DC Universe. Released in 2020, the graphic novel has gone into its 12th printing and is followed by a sequel featuring the Teen Titans—solidifying its place as a modern classic.

With nearly 20 years in the industry, Jennifer has collaborated with powerhouse studios like Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, DC, Warner Brothers, Netflix, Amazon, and Paramount, writing stories that balance high profile genre with grounded, human emotion.

Born and raised in New York as a first-generation Italian-American, Jennifer’s creative journey began in music—playing by ear since childhood and performing in an all-female rock band—before finding her true voice in writing. Today, she continues to expand her reach, developing and exploring fresh new ways to tell stories in genre entertainment that speak to audiences across generations.
